Neonreklamen, Nachtclubs, Musik bis in die Morgenstunden: Wir tauchen ein ins urbane Nachtleben Japans. Was genau auf der Leinwand läuft, bleibt bis zuletzt geheim. Nur so viel sei verraten: Ein Langfilm aus den 1980er Jahren trifft auf einen Vorfilm aus den 1960ern, beide angesiedelt zwischen Bühne, Bar und Großstadt, und beide so musikalisch, dass die Grenze zwischen Sexfilm und Musical ins Wanken gerät.
Das Programm enstand in Kooperation mit einem Seminar zum japanischen Pinku eiga-Sexkino an der Universität Paderborn. Vorab stimmen die Studierenden mit einer kurzen Einführung auf den Abend ein und verraten, was es mit dem Ganzen filmhistorisch auf sich hat. Wer danach noch Lust hat, ist herzlich eingeladen, beim anschließenden Gespräch über das Gesehene zu diskutieren. Der Eintritt ist frei!
Neon signs, nightclubs, music until the early hours of the morning: We dive into Japan’s urban nightlife. Exactly what’s playing on the screen remains a secret until the very end. We’ll reveal just this much: A feature film from the 1980s meets a short film from the 1960s, both set against the backdrop of the stage, bars, and the big city—and both so musical that the line between erotic film and musical begins to blur.
The program was developed in cooperation with a seminar on Japanese pinku eiga erotic cinema at the University of Paderborn. Before the screening, students will set the mood for the evening with a brief introduction and explain the film’s historical context. Anyone who’s still interested afterward is cordially invited to join the discussion following the screening. Admission is free!
